The meetings and events industry processes large quantities of personal data and is heavily impacted by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into law on 25th May 2018. Personal data in the meetings and events industry can take the form of any type of list of names or other personal information, such as delegate / attendee lists, invitation lists, rooming lists and passport details.
This survey is intended to be an anonymous, confidential and non-judgmental way of finding out the impact of GDPR on event professionals one year after the regulation came into effect. The survey is open to all event and venue professionals, with different questions for management and operational staff. Survey results will be published as a report by Smartec Business Solutions, who provide technology and data solutions for meetings and events.
